What to Bring (and What to Leave)
Essentials: Bring water (ideally in a squirt bottle for drinking or rinsing eyes), high-protein snacks, and essential
medications in their original prescription bottles.
There will be a Coffee vendor and a Taco/Hot Dog vendor onsite. Porta-potties will be made available by the organizers: Indivisible Historic Filipinotown/Pilipino Workers Center/Sunday Jump/Filam Lakas Alliance
Parking: Street Parking
Clothing: Wear comfortable, closed-toe walking or running shoes. Wear layers for weather and consider clothing that covers tattoos or unique identifiers.
Visual Solidarity: Many attendees wear yellow (bandanas, hats, or shirts) as a symbol of collective, nonviolent resistance.
Leave at Home: Do not bring weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted. Avoid wearing contact lenses or heavy makeup, which can trap chemical irritants like tear gas against your eyes and skin.
On-Site Safety & Conduct
Stay Standing: Avoid sitting down during the rally; it makes you a target, and harder to move quickly.
Watch the Know Your Rights/Safety Practices Video
Locate Peace Marshals: Look for volunteers in safety vests. They are trained to de-escalate situations and can assist with safety concerns.
De-escalate: The core principle is nonviolent action. Do not engage with or argue with agitators or counter-protesters; instead, move away or drown them out with chants and songs.
